In 1992, a Dutchman, Syb Rypma, arrived in Southwest Canada and in partnership with a local family, established the first ever Phantom Screens business from a single car garage. Their dream was to build a company focussed on quality, exceptional products and great service.
Today, Phantom Screens is America’s largest and most recognised screen brand and now reaches across Australasia, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe with the same values and customer attention they started out with.
Screens have always had a special place in north American culture for their practicality. As our climate patterns change and our architecture transforms, screens have grown in popularity this side of the Atlantic too and have broadened their functionality to encompass solar management and privacy needs.
Our screens have evolved with changes in property design, so that today, they are not so much added to properties as encompassed by them – matching existing frame colours, integrating with home automation systems and retracting out of sight when not required.
We manufacture all our screens here in the UK to the original high-spec standards set by the founding business. Each screen is carefully hand-made to precise customer requirements, quality checked and fitted by our own trained experts.
