A need for insect control and design compatibility
With building works now complete, we were the final trade on site. Our task was to retrofit insect screens without disrupting the finish or appearance of the home. The property featured three large sliding balcony doors – two opening onto a sunny wraparound balcony, the third opening to a glass Juliet balcony with panoramic views over open fields. These doors created a light, open-plan feel, but also offered easy access for insects, particularly in the summer months.

Bespoke pleated fly screens for doors
To maintain uninterrupted airflow and outdoor access, we recommended and installed three pleated fly screens for doors. These screens were custom-built for each opening and finished in Jet Black (RAL 9005 satin) to match the existing door frames. Their discreet pleated mesh design meant the screens could be pulled into place only when needed and retracted out of sight when not in use – a practical and stylish choice.
