A contemporary home in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, has been rejuvenated with a sleek and stylish extension, beautifully complemented by the installation of two automated solar screens.
The homeowners aimed to enhance their new outdoor bar and seating area, which bridges the indoor and outdoor spaces between the back of their home and their garden.

Finding the Solution
The homeowners were specifically concerned with controlling the solar glare entering their home while preserving their beautiful garden views. After discovering Phantom Screens online, they contacted us to explore potential solutions.

We scheduled a free home survey to take precise measurements and discuss colour and mesh options with the clients. This on-site consultation ensured that they were fully informed about the various choices available.
We recommended and subsequently installed two Automated Power Screens to cover the large opening at the back of the home. These screens were seamlessly retrofitted, fixed to the two columns and wall at the far end of the extension.
Installation
The chosen screens featured Suntex 80 black mesh, providing an 80% UV block, which is perfect for reducing harsh solar glare during summer afternoons and evenings at this northwest-facing property.
This high-quality, PVC-coated fiberglass mesh is not only durable and weatherproof but also waterproof, making it ideal for keeping out the rain—a valuable feature for protecting the covered outdoor seating area.
