Power screens can be manufactured up to an impressive 12m wide x 4.8m high in a single span. This makes them ideal for large bifold doors, sliding doors, or fixed glazing.

Yes, if actively using solar mesh. The solar management feature of performance mesh contributes to energy saving by reducing the requirement for HVAC cooling systems in the summer.

Building standards dictate that architects and engineers calculate the heating, cooling and lighting performance of a building during the design phase.

When included in these calculations, screen fabric can contribute significantly to the building’s overall performance rating.

Externally fitted solar screens are listed as an acceptable method of preventing overheating in the Part O Building Regulations. These regulations must be following by all residential new builds.

Yes! Our mesh fabrics offer a variety of solutions depending on need; from insect control at around 50% openness, to privacy control at around 5% open and solar management blocking up to 80% of the sun’s UV rays.

Unlike extra wide curtains or smart glass, high-performance mesh fabric doesn’t block the view. It also provides ventilation, which can help manage heat build-up during summer months.

Phantom Screens are each made bespoke for your door or window’s specific requirements. This means that there is no ‘one size fits all’ – each fitting is as bespoke as the screen! They can be fitted internally or externally depending on which way your door or window opens and what you want your screen to achieve.

In some cases, we collaborate with your architect, door company, or other specialists to develop a tailored solution, ensuring our premium insect screens are seamlessly integrated into your home’s design.

Want to optimise solar shading? External fit screens block the UV before it enters your home through the glass. This is the most effective method of preventing excessive heat build, leaving your home cool and comfortable.

For fixed windows or outward opening doors, internal fittings are ideal for increased privacy. This is because during the day the glass creates a mirror effect so anyone looking in will only see their reflection.

Building a new property? All new residential properties must comply with Building Regulations Part O (overheating). Luckily, you’ve found us! Our screens will link to most home automation systems and can also be ordered with weather and light sensors.

We use Somfy’s Tahoma® app to give you complete and intuitive control – over the internet or via your computer, phone or tablet.

This will allow you to be able to operate your screens remotely while on away from your home. 

Phantom Screens are often used to stop cats and dogs getting outside. While many of our customers have found screens to be an effective solution for keeping pets inside, others have not. It ultimately depends on how tenacious your pet is. No screen is 100% claw resistant, so we cannot guarantee that they will be an effective barrier for all pets.

We do have a particular mesh type which is recommended for pet protection – this is exclusive to power screens. Get in touch with our expert team to discuss further.

Phantom Screens are generally an effective barrier that deter foxes, mice, rats, squirrels and other furry friends from entering your home. As with keeping pets inside however, we cannot guarantee that screens are 100% claw resistant.

To clean the cassette/housing simply wipe down using a non-abrasive, household detergent and a soft cloth or sponge.

To clean the mesh, use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove debris and then wipe down with a soft, damp cloth.
