Distinction Screens are pleated flyscreens designed for door openings up to 9m wide x 3m high. They are operated by hand and can be opened to any position giving you the flexibility to fully or partly deploy them. The pleated mesh concept has its origins in Japanese screening systems and provides an elegant, understated option for those looking for a large door screening product.

Distinction Screens are unique in our range as they have an ultra-low-profile monorail track (3mm) making this product the ideal solution for wheelchair users or where the transition from indoors to outdoors must remain on a single uninterrupted level.

Large screens for doors

Yes. All our screens are bespoke and handmade to order so we conduct surveys in order to prepare an accurate quote for you. All quotes are therefore subject to survey. The best way to ensure this process is as seamless and quick as possible is for a Phantom expert to visit your property and take measurements. The survey is completely free of charge, carries no obligation to buy, and doesn’t need to take longer than an hour. It is also your opportunity to ask questions, look at mesh options and find the best installation options available to you. Why not get in touch today for more information.

The Distinction screen comes with a single mesh type – pleated 18/16 black insect mesh. This is an ultra-fine mesh that blocks insects and up to 55% UV Rays while letting in fresh air and retaining your view.

The mesh itself is made from a polyester or fibreglass weave with a PVC coating for added durability, making them suitable for outdoor use. A series of cords tension the screens allowing the mesh to retain its shape, preventing sagging and tearing – even in windy weather.

Call us to get a more accurate answer to this question. It largely depends on the time of year, the type of property and the type of screens you’re ordering. A simple 4m pleated screen ordered and installed in January can sometimes be completed in a week, but more complex screens in our peak summer season can take a little longer.

  • All Phantom fly screens for doors come with a Phantom Limited Two Year Warranty to make sure that you are completely satisfied with our products.
  • The warranty covers the screens (fitted by Phantom-trained local design and fitting experts, for the original owner). It cannot be transferred to new homeowners and the screens will not be covered if they are moved to a new address.
  • The warranty covers the paint finish and mechanical parts of the screen but not the mesh itself. The mesh of your Phantom Screen is a serviceable part and will eventually need to be replaced. This can be organised with your local design and fitting expert.
  • Call out, labour and fitting of warrantied parts is not covered by this warranty.

Distinction Screens are easy to look after. To clean the mesh, use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove debris and then wipe down with a soft, damp cloth.
