Perfect light control

Initially, the property owners were looking for solid blinds but were unable to find them in the right sizes to span the large expanse of glass. They now have three 90% block Phantom screens and one black-out screen, enabling solar control, summer ventilation, day time privacy and insect protection.

The screens create an external mirror effect during the day meaning any onlookers are unable to view inside the property. The technical fabric also blocks 90% of the sun’s rays, protecting occupants from glare and reducing sun-bleaching on internal fabrics and furnishings.

The bespoke, handcrafted screens are connected to a light sensor that allows them to self-adjust depending on the time of year and on daily sunlight levels. When the sun reaches a certain level of brightness, the screens will automatically close, maintaining a consistent light level and helping to manage temperature gain. A wireless wall switch is fitted to the outside of the property that allows occupants to control the screens if they close while outside.
