Serene Window Screens are retractable insect screens designed for window openings up to 2m wide and 2m high. They are operated by hand and latch into place using a soft close system. Serene window screens are compact and understated and are child-safe – with no cords or strings. They fit most window types and can be installed at an angle on roof lights, Velux windows, casement, sash, and tilt and turn – both inside and on the outside of the property.
Yes. All our screens are bespoke and handmade to order so we conduct surveys in order to prepare an accurate quote for you. The best way to ensure this process is as seamless and quick as possible is for a Phantom expert to visit your property and take measurements. The survey is completely free of charge, carries no obligation to buy, and doesn’t need to take longer than an hour. It is also your opportunity to ask questions, look at mesh options and find the best installation options available to you.
Yes! The Serene window insect screen can be fitted with a variety of mesh types depending on your requirements. Our most popular mesh for Serene Screens is 18/14 stiffened insect mesh in charcoal – this provides optimum protection from insect ingress, protects you against 55% of the sun’s UV rays, and doesn’t interrupt your view. However, Serene Screens work very well with solar and privacy or blackout fabrics – speak to your Phantom adviser about mesh options during a home visit.
No, Serene window screens are manual screens and operated only by hand.
Serene window screens will fit window openings up to 2m wide and 2m high. You might want to consider power screens if your windows are larger than this. The roller housing is super-slim at just 55mm meaning it provides an unobtrusive solution for most window frames. Serene can be fitted inside or out.
Our screens are always fitted by Phantom-trained experts, so you don’t have to worry about learning the technicalities of the installation. The price of your screens always includes the cost of installation.
Yes! Serene frames can be finished in any RAL colour or wood grained to match your home and window/door frames. We’ll also work with you on any custom finishes or bespoke colours to make sure your power screens are carefully integrated with your chosen décor.
Call us to get a more accurate answer to this question. It largely depends on the time of year, the type of property and the type of screens you’re ordering. A simple 2m screen ordered and installed in January can sometimes be completed in a week, but more complex screens in our peak summer season can take a little longer.
- All Phantom fly screens for doors come with a Phantom Limited Lifetime Warranty to make sure that you are completely satisfied with our products. The warranty is activated when you register your product using the form given to you by your fitter.
- The warranty covers the screens (fitted by Phantom-trained local design and fitting experts, for the original owner). It cannot be transferred to new homeowners and the screens will not be covered if they are moved to a new address.
- The warranty covers the paint finish and mechanical parts of the screen but not the mesh itself. The mesh of your Phantom Screen is a serviceable part and will eventually need to be replaced. This can be organised with your local design and fitting expert.
- Call out, labour and fitting of warrantied parts is not covered by this warranty.
Serene Screens are easy to look after. To clean the mesh, use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove debris and then wipe down with a soft, damp cloth.
