Phantom Screens gets a mention in The Guardian's heatwave survival guide

As the UK swelters through a summer heatwave, The Guardian turned to someone with first-hand experience of beating the heat: Alyx Gorman, an Australian writer for The Guardian’s shopping team, The Filter. Her piece, “I’m Australian, so I know how to cope with heatwaves: here are my tips for keeping cool”, shares the low-energy cooling habits she grew up with, from drawing the curtains early to choosing the right fan, and Phantom Screens made the list.

Writing about the importance of letting cool night air into the home, Gorman recommends installing fly screens, calling them “another Australian essential.” She continues:

But it’s a genuinely useful one: Gorman’s own experience is that a pleated fly screen lets her keep doors and windows open overnight to create a cross-breeze, without losing the screen to clutter when it’s not needed.
