A Seamless Solution to Heat, Light and Privacy

Initially, the homeowners explored traditional options such as curtains and fabric blinds. However, sourcing coverings in the correct dimensions proved difficult – especially ones that didn’t interfere with the modern aesthetic. Our automated screens offered a more refined solution, both in appearance and function.

We installed three power screens fitted with our E-Screen 7510 mesh – a premium fabric that blocks up to 90% of the sun’s rays while still allowing outward visibility. This creates an external mirror effect during daylight hours, delivering natural daytime privacy while reducing glare and solar heat gain. For one window, we added a bespoke blackout screen to provide total light control where needed.

These solar screens not only improve comfort but also help reduce solar bleaching of interior fabrics, flooring, and furnishings. The mesh acts as a barrier to harsh UV, all while allowing the homeowners to enjoy uninterrupted views of the countryside.

To make life even easier, the screens were connected to light sensors, enabling automatic deployment depending on the sun’s brightness. When the light intensity exceeds a pre-set level, the screens lower automatically – helping maintain a consistent interior temperature and preventing overheating.

For added flexibility, we also installed a wireless wall switch on the exterior of the property. This allows the homeowners to manually control the screens if needed while enjoying the garden or terrace. The result? Effortless comfort throughout the day – without pulling a cord or pressing a button.
