When our client in a south home county set out to create a dedicated indoor space for their six Maine Coon cats, their priority was safety, comfort, and uninterrupted airflow. With full-height sliding glass doors at the rear of the property, the space was perfect for lounging in the sun — but open doors also posed a serious risk of escape.

A Motorised Barrier for Cats
Our team retrofitted two 2.6m-wide automated screens to the inside of the glass doors. When activated, the motorised barrier for cats glides smoothly into place, offering a secure and breathable barrier while allowing light and air to flow freely.
To deliver peace of mind, we recommended our specially developed pet-resistant mesh, which is reinforced with PVC-coated fibreglass. This mesh is significantly tougher than standard insect mesh and offers increased resistance against scratching and pawing — ideal for homes with curious or large-breed cats like Maine Coons.
However, we always make it clear that while our pet mesh is extremely durable, no screen is completely claw-proof. We cannot guarantee that our screens are 100% effective at keeping cats in, especially if your pet is particularly determined or aggressive. But for most homeowners, the combination of strength and smart functionality provides an excellent and reliable solution.
